‹ Back to Soheki: The Azure Grotto

Release notes

Version 1.0.8 (2026-09-30)

  • Difficulty now rises faster early on (★2 from 6 explorations, ★3 from 15; reaching ★8 still takes about a month).
  • Fixed ★1 puzzles appearing too often in the early stages.

Version 1.0.7 (2026-09-28)

  • Puzzle difficulty now has 10 levels (★1–★10) and rises more gently. Reaching ★8 (the standard maximum) takes about a month with a few explorations a day. Lower levels are easier (Bubble Pearl Sort starts with 3 colors, Grotto Slide with 3×3).
  • You can choose the maximum difficulty (★2–★10) under Puzzle difficulty in Settings. At higher levels, puzzles from ★7 have move or time limits (what’s left is shown; running out just starts the puzzle over). There are no hints at ★9 and above.
  • Easier puzzles now appear more often within the same exploration.
  • Illustrated solving tips are now available from each puzzle’s “?”. Bubble Pearl Sort also has a Hint button up to ★6.
  • When you seem to be struggling, the game now gently suggests tips or lowering the maximum difficulty (you can turn this off in Settings).
  • The button to start a puzzle over is now labeled “Reset”.
  • You can now play the Android app version (Google Play).
  • In the app, you can buy Spring Drops and Spring Keeper through Google Play in-app purchases, at Google Play prices. You can also restore purchases. Change or cancel a subscription where you signed up for it (Google Play or the web version).
  • In the app, you can log in with Google on your device’s own sign-in screen.
  • In the app’s Interior Mode, timers and alarms also arrive as device notifications, even when the app is closed. The screen stays on while the clock is shown.
  • In the app, the device’s back button takes you back to the Spring, and vibration uses your device’s haptic feedback.
  • Fixed the number of fragments found per region in the Collection (it showed “/6”; each region has 16).

Version 1.0.6 (2026-09-28)

  • We continued preparing the Android app version for release (nothing changes when playing in the browser).

Version 1.0.5 (2026-09-28)

  • The email verification screen now says the email was sent only right after it actually was. Resending waits about a minute and shows how many seconds are left.
  • When verification or reset emails hit the sending limit, or when your email is linked but the verification email couldn’t be sent, you’re now told clearly.
  • Longer notices now stay on screen long enough to read.

Version 1.0.4 (2026-09-27)

  • Difficulty, Special Grottos, and the return of memories now advance with the number of explorations rather than days played. You’re now sure to find a new fragment once every three explorations (while there are still ones left to find).
  • The same grotto no longer appears until you’ve visited every unlocked grotto. Grotto Slide now uses pictures of other grottos you’ve visited.
  • Weaves for Special Grottos are now larger 960-bead patterns (beads you’ve already placed carry over). You can zoom in and out on the Weave screen.
  • You can use the picture of a grotto you’ve woven as the background of the Spring and the Interior Mode clock, and save the picture from the Collection or the Weave screen. Interior Mode also has a new button to rotate the screen.
  • Raising the spring light now makes motes of light drift above the Spring. Tips can be closed with a tap.
  • Logging in has been improved. After logging in with Google, you go straight back to your game. If this device has progress from playing without logging in, you can choose whether to carry it over when you log in. Sign in with Apple is now supported.

Version 1.0.3 (2026-09-26)

  • When you open the game in the browser on a device that has the app version (added to the home screen), you’re now invited to open it from the app.
  • In that case, Google login doesn’t work in the browser, so you’re now guided to log in from the app or with your email address.

Version 1.0.2 (2026-09-26)

  • Difficulty is now shown with stars next to each puzzle’s name.
  • Added a button to start a puzzle over (tap it twice, so you don’t reset by mistake).
  • Bubble Pearl Sort is less likely to deal overly easy boards where same-colored pearls are already clumped together.
  • Fixed fragments’ images and light effects drifting apart on the Spring and discovery screens.

Version 1.0.1 (2026-09-25)

  • To verify purchasers, you’ll now be asked to enter your full name and address on the payment screen when you make a purchase. The Privacy Policy has been updated accordingly.

Version 1.0.0 (2026-09-25)

  • Soheki: The Azure Grotto is now available.
  • The version is now shown on the title and settings screens.
